Vicari Headed Back to the AHL

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that rookie goaltender Dominic Vicari has been called up to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.

Vicari, the Clinton Township, Michigan native will make his second trip the AHL in less than a week. In a Toledo Storm uniform, Vicari has played in 18 games this season. During those games, Vicari has earned a 6-10-0 record while posting a 3.52 goals against average and an 0.891 save percentage. The former Michigan State Spartan played in a career high 13 straight games from December 10th through January 7th, where he went 5-8-0. The Griffins play in Rochester on Wednesday and Friday before hosting the Toronto Marlies at Van Andel Arena on Saturday night.

The Storm will play 7 of their next 8 games away from Toledo Sports Arena, beginning next Friday night against the Dayton Bombers at 7:00pm from the Nutter Center. Toledo will return to the home ice on January 31st when they will host the Trenton Titans at 7:30pm from Toledo Sports Arena!
