Chasers Charities to Offer Werner Park's First 50-50 Lottery July 3

OMAHA - Werner Park will host its first-ever 50-50 Lottery this Sunday. Chasers Charities, the 501(c)3 organization and charitable arm of the Omaha Storm Chasers will hold the lottery during the Storm Chasers game against the Memphis Redbirds on a night featuring the Biggest Fireworks in the Metro on First National Bank Independence Fireworks! Participants must be 18 years or older to purchase tickets for the 50-50 Lottery that evening.

Tickets will be available for purchase for $3 each and groups of tickets are also available at a discounted rates of 5 tickets for $10, 10 for $15 or 20 tickets for $20. Tickets will be sold from the time gates open at 6:00 p.m. until the first pitch of the ninth inning. One lucky fan will have the lucky ticket drawn and announced on-field at the end of the game and receive half of the gross proceeds from the money collected that evening.

The other half of the funds will benefit Chasers Charities. The proceeds from the Lottery will be used to further the Chasers Charities mission of impacting sports and recreational activities with a focus on youth in the Omaha metro area. The winner will have thirty calendar days to present the winning ticket either at Nebraska Methodist College Fan Services that night or at the Storm Chasers Administrative Offices at Werner Park during regular business hours.

Following that night's contest will be the organization's 48th Annual Independence Fireworks Spectacular featuring the Biggest Fireworks in the Metro, presented by First National Bank. All fans are welcome to watch the fireworks show on the field after the game.

That evening will also feature Storm Chasers players and coaches wearing specialty patriotic jerseys in commemoration of Independence Day. Fans will have the chance to purchase the game-worn jerseys by placing bids during the game. The highest bidder will receive the jersey from the player who wore that jersey on the field after the game.
