Round Rock Express Celebrates Red, White and Blue Weekend

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express continue their homestand after a league-wide off day with a four-day, six-game series against the Iowa Cubs (Chicago Cubs affiliate) Thursday night. The Express will celebrate Independence Day all weekend long as part of their annual Red, White and Blue Weekend, presented by eBay. Fans are encouraged to wear red on Friday, white on Saturday and blue on Sunday to "Red Out," "White Out," and "Blue Out" Dell Diamond. Special postgame fireworks shows will take place after all three games.
The short homestand features two doubleheaders to make up for rain-impacted games in April. The two teams will play two seven-inning games on Thursday, June 30 starting at 5:05 p.m. The second contest will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first. Gates open at 4 p.m. On Saturday, they will resume a suspended game from April 18 at 4:30 p.m. in the bottom of the first. That game will be a full nine innings. The Express and Cubs will play a seven-inning game 30 minutes after the conclusion of that game. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
All weekend long, the Express will wear special Stars and Stripes caps as part of a Minor League Baseball initiative. MiLB, in conjunction with its licensing partner Major League Baseball Properties, will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from cap sales to Welcome Back Veterans, an organization dedicated to addressing the ongoing needs of military personnel and their families. On Sunday, Round Rock will also wear specialty patriotic jerseys, presented by eBay. Those jerseys will be auctioned off online from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. Sunday with proceeds benefiting the 100 Club of Central Texas.

- Doubleheader - The Round Rock Express and Iowa Cubs will play a doubleheader to make up a rained out contest from April 17. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with first pitch in game one set for 5:05 p.m. Game two will begin 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one. Each contest will be seven innings.
- Baseball Card Giveaway - The first 3,000 fans through the gates at Dell Diamond will receive a set of Express baseball cards.
- Health and Wellness Night - Stay fit with the Express! Health and Wellness Night will feature a pregame fitness competition, interactive activities, an expo in the United Heritage Center and much more!
- St. David's Round Rock Medical Center CPR Demonstration - Williamson County EMS and St. David's Round Rock Medical Center will host CPR demonstrations in the United Heritage Center and picnic area for fans.
- The Original Thirsty Thursday presented by Firetrol Protection Systems - Unwind at the ballpark with discounted draft beer specials and $1 sodas.

- Doubleheader - The Round Rock Express and Iowa Cubs will play a doubleheader to conclude a suspended contest from April 18. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. with first pitch in the resumption of game one set for 4:30 p.m. The first contest will be a full-length nine inning game beginning in the bottom of the first when play was initially suspended. Game two will begin 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one and feature seven innings.
- Red, White and Blue Weekend presented by eBay - WHITE OUT. Wear white and stick around after the game for postgame fireworks.
