From the Notes

Hey Now, You're An All-Star: Infielder Chad Pinder and relief pitcher Patrick Schuster were selected to the Pacific Coast League All-Star Team today. The two will represent the PCL when they take on the International League on July 13 at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte. It's the second career ASG appearance for Pinder and first for Schuster.

Battle of First Place Teams: Both Nashville and Oklahoma City are in first place in their respective divisions. It's the sixth game in which Nashville and their opponent were in first place at game time. Oklahoma City was the opponent in four games (June 9-12) and Salt Lake was the other (May 27).

On to the Future(s): Infielder Ryon Healy was recently named to the Sirius XM Futures Game as part of All-Star Sunday in San Diego. Healy will compete with other top minor league prospect on the U.S. Team when they play the World Team at Petco Park. Healy's home of West Hills, California, is 150 miles northwest of San Diego.

Playoff Preview: At first place in their respective American Conference Divisions, the Sounds and Dodgers could potentially meet in the PCL Playoffs. The teams have played 12 times this year with each squad winning six games. The head-to-head numbers favor the Sounds (.240 batting average & 2.53 ERA) compared to Oklahoma City (.206 & 3.51). However, Nashville has committed 11 errors in the 12 games compared to the Dodgers' five.
