Celebrate Ol' Blue Eyes August 20th
August 12, 2015 - New York-Penn League (NYPL)
Brooklyn Cyclones News Release
On Thursday, August 20th the Cyclones will celebrate Frank Sinatra's 100th Birthday on a very special Jersday Thursday. We'll do everything his way in honor of the man who would have turned 100 in December. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a pullover pinstripe jersey. This is the only Sinatra-family approved celebration in all of Minor League Baseball.
Here's a look at what else is in store as we celebrate all-things Sinatra:
Ol' Blue Eyes Seating - The first 100 people with blue eyes who purchase tickets at the MCU Park box office will receive a bleacher ticket for $1.00.
Dancing Cheek to Cheek - Find the happiness you seek, after the game when fans will be invited onto the field for a post-game slow dance around home plate.
Fly Me to the Moon Contest - Contestants will have to make a paper airplane and fly it through a crescent shaped target to win prizes.
Seriusly Sinatra - SiriusXM's Sinatra-only station will have a lucky-seat giveaway where a fan will have the chance to win a Free 3-Month Subscription to SiriusXM Satelite Radio.
The Way You Wear Your Hat - Fans are encouraged to wear a Fedora to the park that evening, and those who do will be invited onto the field pre-game for a "team photo."
Sing It Like Sinatra - Fans will be invited to sign up for pre-game Karaoke in Wine Drives & Short Hops. The two fans who sound the most like Frank will be chosen to the stadium in a Sinatra Ballpark Sing Along.
Tickets for the 100th Birthday Celebration start at just $10 and are on sale now by calling 718-507-TIXX, visiting the MCU Park Box Office, or right here at BrooklynCyclones.com.
