Caputi, D'Aversa Reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WHEELING, W.Va. - The Wheeling Nailers have announced that winger Luca Caputi and defenseman Jon D'Aversa have been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Caputi, 20, was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fourth round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He has the rare distinction of scoring a goal at the NHL, AHL and ECHL levels in one season.

Caputi has recorded 40 points (15G, 25A) in 54 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. He scored one goal over a 5-game stretch with the Pittsburgh Penguins and scored a goal in his first ever ECHL game in Wheeling's game against Johnstown on March 4. In his three games with the Nailers, Caputi scored two goals and added one assist.

D'Aversa, 23, has recorded 22 points (1G, 21A) in 55 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. In parts of two seasons with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he has recorded 28 points (5G, 23A) in 82 games. He contributed two goals and two assists in his three games with the Nailers this season.
