Dayton Bombers News Release

The Dayton Bombers will be auctioning off three sets of official game-worn jerseys at home games this month at both the Ervin J. Nutter Center and Troy's historic Hobart Arena.

First on Friday, March 13 following the Bombers match up against the Elmira Jackals the team's red jerseys will be up for auction to benefit the Dayton Bombers Charitable Foundation. These jerseys have been worn by the Bombers at each of their home games since January. Winning bidders will get these jerseys following the completion of the season.

Then the "throwback" Troy Bruins jerseys will be available to the highest bidders on Sunday, March 22 at Hobart Arena after the Bombers game against the Gwinnett Gladiators. Worn during the Bombers games at Hobart throughout the season, the jerseys pay tribute to the pioneers of professional hockey in the Miami Valley, the Troy Bruins, who competed in the IHL in the 1950's. Each jersey is adorned with a patch of a Miami County non-profit organization, which will benefit from the sale of the jersey, along with the Dayton Bombers Charitable Foundation.

The charities, selected at the Miami County Non-Profit Expo in November are: Miami County Health Department, Habitat for Humanity of Miami County, Ohio Youth Advocate Program, Miami County NAMI, Upper Valley JVS ABLE Program, Koester Pavilion, Miami Valley Senior Independence, Riverside of Miami County, Miami County Recovery Council, Miami County Family Abuse Shelter, Footprints on the Heart Inc., Miami County Prenatal Wellness Center, A.B. Graham Memorial Center Inc., Brukner Nature Center, Miami Valley Mounted Search and Rescue, WACO Historical Society, Hospice of Miami County and Big Brothers/Big Sisters Greater Miami Valley.

Finally on Saturday, March 28, the Bombers will don a special military themed sweater for the third and final "Military Appreciation Night" of the season. Adorned with a special Wright Patterson Air Force Base crest, the jerseys will be auctioned off live after the game on the Verizon Flight Deck. This will be the second military themed jerseys the team has worn this season to honor the servicemen and women of WPAFB.

Action returns to the Nutter Center on March 13 and 14 when the Elmira Jackals come to town for a pair of 7:30 p.m. match ups. Individual tickets start at just $10 for kids under 18 and $15 for adults (includes parking) and can be purchased at the Nutter Center box office or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com.

Discounted tickets for groups of 10 or more at the Nutter Center and Hobart Arena are always available by contacting the Bombers office at (937) 775-4747. Visit www.daytonbombers.com for more information.
