Stockton Thunder News Release
STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder has launched a ticket sales initiative, the "Attendance Stimulus Plan," designed to stimulate ticket sales for the remaining six regular season home games at Stockton Arena for the 2008-09 season.
The Thunder leads the ECHL in attendance with 186,626 fans (6,221 average) through 30 home games and looks to extend its grip on the league's leading attendance title for the fourth straight season. The last team to accomplish the feat in the ECHL was the Florida Everblades, who led the ECHL in attendance for five straight seasons (2000-05).
"The Thunder Attendance Stimulus Plan is a fun program whereby season ticket holders can save money on next year's season tickets, while at the same time helping the Thunder win our fourth consecutive ECHL attendance championship," said Thunder president Dan Chapman. "All fans can participate, not just season ticket holders. After all, it's our fans that have made Thunder hockey the biggest draw in the ECHL and they continue to prove they are the best, most loyal and dedicated fans in the league."
FOR THUNDER SEASON TICKET HOLDERS With group tickets now starting at just $6 per seat, Thunder season ticket holders will receive an unprecedented discount on the renewal of their 2009-10 season tickets with participation in the program. For group tickets purchased and re-distributed by a current season ticket holder, $1 for each group ticket purchased will be discounted to the renewal cost of 2009-10 season tickets.
FOR ALL HOCKEY FANS The Thunder is also inviting the general public for involvement in the "Attendance Stimulus Plan." All group tickets are now discounted by $1 for the remainder of the 2008-09 regular season. At just $14 per seat, the popular Lower End Zone and Lower Premium seats are available with a free Thunder hat for each group ticket sold (a $34 value)!
A group night with the Stockton Thunder is an exciting entertainment option for anybody who likes to have fun with at least 10 of your friends, family or co-workers and receive all of the group benefits. Thunder Group tickets are also great for youth organizations, religious groups, school functions and business events, where fans save on the game day walk-up price, videoboard recognition and receive a special Thunder gift via an in-game drawing.
