Canucks Recall Evan Oberg

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, today announced they have recalled defenceman Evan Oberg from the Moose on an emergency basis.

Oberg, 22, has played in 70 games so far this season for the Moose and has collected 26 points (3g & 23a) along with 64 penalty minutes. The rookie out of Forestburg, AB earned his first NHL recall earlier this season on Jan. 8/10. The following night he made his NHL debut with the Canucks in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Calgary Flames.

Oberg spent his college career at the University of Minnesota-Duluth where he appeared in 67 games for the Bulldogs and scored 30 points (8g & 22a) along with 60 penalty minutes.
