Harrisburg, PA - The Senators dropped their third straight to the Curve on Saturday, falling 1-0 in 10 innings. The Sens have managed just two runs in 28 innings against the Curve pitching staff. Saturday the Sens had a base runner to third base just one time in the loss.

Even in the loss the Sens still had bright spots. The brightest was starting pitching Tom Milone, making his AA debut. He pitched six shutout innings, allowing a hit and a walk and retiring the final 16 batters he faced. He was outstanding as he kept the Curve hitters off balance all night long.

Rafael Martin and Yunior Novoa were both solid, even though Novoa took the loss as he allowed the game winning double.

Tim Alderson started for Altoona and went the first five shut out innings. Derek Hankins and Ronald Uviedo combined to go four innings before turning the ball over to Daniel Moskos. Moskos is a former number one pick of the Pirates, and he pitched a perfect 10th inning to pick up the win.

Again the Sens offense just sputtered. Chris Marrero had two hits, Michael Martinez a bunt single, and Leonard Davis singled. And that was it. The Sens have just twelve hits in the three games.

Altoona scored the winning run in the 10th inning on a double off the bat of Jose de los Santos, driving in Josh Harrison from second base. Prior to Harrison touching third as he scored, the Curve didn't have a base runner reach third base all game.

The final game of the four game series is Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm with RH Stephen Strasburg making his professional debut for the Senators. The 2009 MLB overall number one draft pick is hoping to help the Sens from being swept by the Curve. The game can be heard on 1460AM The Ticket and on the Internet through the Senators website beginning at 1:45pm.
