Campbell Named to ECHL All Rookie Team

The ECHL announced today that Gladiators rookie forward Jeff Campbell as been named to the 2004-05 ECHL All Rookie Team.

In his first full professional season, Campbell shares the team lead for goals scored with 30 on the year, ranking 4th among ECHL rookies. Campbell also ranks 4th among rookies in scoring in the ECHL with 63 points.

The Hensall, Ontario native became the 3rd player in Gladiators history to record a hat-trick posting 3 goals and 5 points in a 6-4 win over the South Carolina Stingrays on February 4th. One of three Gladiators named to the 2005 ECHL all star game, Campbell recorded an assist for the American Conference in a 6-2 loss.

A rookie out of Western Michigan University, Campbell posted 65 goals and 106 assists for 171 points during his four year collegiate career. He becomes the second player in Gladiators team history to be named to the ECHL all rookie team.
