Kelly Loaned to Grand Rapids For Remainder of Season

Johnstown, PA- Johnstown Chiefs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Toby O'Brien announced today, that forward Brent Kelly has been loaned to the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins for the remainder of the season.

"Brent will get an opportunity to play immediately with the Griffins. Since he came back to us three weeks he averaged over a point a game. We wish Brent luck the rest of the way this season in the AHL," said O'Brien.

Kelly, 23, appeared in 37 games for the Chiefs this season scoring 15 goals and 40 points. He also played in 16 games for Grand Rapids earlier in the season posting three assists.

Kelly will be available for the Griffins game Friday night when they visit the Utah Grizzles.

The Chiefs are back in action Friday night when they host the Trenton Titans at 7:00 p.m.

The final home game of the season is also the next designated sellout night, sponsored by "Your Neighborhood Ford Store," is this Saturday, April 9th against Atlantic City. It will also be Fan Appreciation Day, as hundreds of prizes will be given away at random to fans throughout the game.
