
Burnett To Face The Lynx Monday

OTTAWA - Local Blue Jays fans can see some electric stuff at Lynx Stadium this Monday.
Blue Jays starter A.J. Burnett is scheduled to start the Civic Holiday matinee for the Jays' Triple-A affiliate-the Syracuse Chiefs-against the hometown Lynx. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 pm.
Burnett, 30, has a 5-6 record and a 4.31 ERA and 106 strikeouts in 15 games for the Blue Jays this season. He has been on the 15-day disabled list since June 29th with a shoulder injury. He is in his second season with the Blue Jays after signing a five-year contract with Toronto at the 2005 Winter Meetings. He threw a no-hitter for the Florida Marlins, blanking the San Diego Padres May 12, 2001. He has a career record of 64-64 with a 3.81 ERA.
