Bulls Edged by Grizzlies, 3-2

WEST VALLEY CITY, UT "" The San Francisco Bulls scored two power-play goals, but it wasn't enough as the Bulls dropped the finale of their three-game road trip, 3-2, Saturday night against the Utah Grizzlies at the Maverik Center. Dean Ouellet continued his torrid scoring pace, earning a goal and an assist in the loss. Daniil Tarasov pitched in with two assists.

In the first period, the red-hot Ouellet scored his 13th goal of the season at 6:59 on the power play. Ouellet tapped in a rebound on a shot by Andrew Crescenzi. Tarasov also picked up an assist on the goal. Riley Armstrong leveled the game at 1-1 with a power-play goal of his own with 7:48 remaining in the first period. Armstrong's slap shot from the top of the left circle was able to sneak its way past Thomas Heemskerk. Armstrong's eighth goal of the season was assisted by Mark Isherwood and Brad Mills.

After a questionable goalie interference call that negated a Sacha Guimond power-play goal, Rob Kwiet scored on the power play at 7:48 of the second period to give the Bulls a 2-1 lead. Kwiet's shot made it through traffic and past Grant Rollheiser. Kwiet's fourth goal of the season was assisted by Tarasov and Ouellet. Utah tied the game at two on the power play with Scott Langdon and Kwiet in the penalty box for the Bulls. Mills found a rebound in the slot for his ninth goal of the season with 2:40 remaining in the period. Isherwood also picked up an assist on the goal.

Utah took its first lead of the game at 6:28 of the third period when Bryan Cameron scored to give the Grizzlies a 3-2 lead. Cameron's eighth goal of the season proved to be the game-winner.

The Bulls return to action on Wednesday to take on the Bakersfield Condors at the Cow Palace at 7:15 pm. It's Get a Pair Wednesday at the Cow Palace, fans can get two hot dogs for the price of one. The Bulls then host the Colorado Eagles on Friday and Saturday at 7:15 pm. Friday is a Teddy Bear Toss, presented by Seton Medical Center. Bring a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal to the game and throw it onto the ice following the Bulls' first goal. All stuffed animals will be donated to local children in need.
