North Charleston, SC - Goaltender Ryan Zapolski stopped all 34 shots to give the South Carolina Stingrays (10-12-0-2) a 2-0 victory over the Gwinnett Gladiators (15-6-1-0) at the North Charleston Coliseum Saturday evening.

The Stingrays grabbed the lead when forward Tyler Johnson buried his second goal of the season on the power play at 7:04 of the first period firing a wrist shot under the glove of Gladiators netminder Mike Lee (L, 18 saves on 20 shots) from between the faceoff circles. Forward Shawn Weller and defenseman Kevin Quick added assists. Forward Andrew Sackrison made it 2-0 with an unassisted shorthanded goal at 13:08.

Stingrays forward Hunter Bishop was awarded a penalty shot at 4:07 of the final period, but Lee denied him with a glove save. The Stingrays finished the game 1-for-3 on the power play while the Gladiators went 0-for-5.
