Evansville, IN- Goals in the final three minutes from Brett Lysak (10th) and Eric Kattelus (5th) were not enough for the Kalamazoo Wings (9-10-1-1), as the Evansville IceMen (7-14-0-1) shook off a late comeback bid by Kalamazoo for a 3-2 victory Saturday night at the Ford Center.

An evenly played first period became slanted towards Evansville late in the stanza, as the IceMen struck twice in a span of 33 seconds. Josh Beaulieu (9th) put the IceMen on the board by battling in front of the K-Wings net and knocking in a loose puck 15:28 into the period.

Utilizing a Cody Beach screen, Dan Mahovsky notched his fifth-goal of the season with a slap shot from the left circle to push the Evansville lead to two goals.

Scoring in a similar fashion as he did to start the game, Beaulieu (10th) posted the eventual game-winner early in the third period

Winning a mad scramble in front of the IceMen's net, Lysak reached around two defensemen and pushed the puck over the goal line with 2:14 remaining in regulation to break up to the shutout of Rob Madore.

Pulling Joel Martin for an extra attacker, Kalamazoo inched closer with 28 seconds left in the game with rebound marker from Kattelus.
