Buccaneers Fall at Sioux City 4-1

Des Moines Buccaneers News Release

Special teams would be a big factor in the Des Moines Buccaneers game in Sioux City as 13 power play chances were handed out, and the Musketeers came up with two power play goals to seal a 4-1 victory.

Des Moines was able to survive their first penalty kill but shortly after they were back to full-strength Josh Wilkins got the home crowd on their feet and gave the Musketeers a 1-0. The Bucs killed off a short 5 on 3 advantage for Sioux City but seconds after getting one man out of the box gave up a power play goal to Jake Ryczek in the slot, allowing the Musketeers to head to the locker room up 2-0.

The Buccaneers answered back with their third power play goal of the season as Ty Pelton-Byce netted a goal from Alec Rauhauser and the Buccaneers skated most of the rest of the game trailing by just one. Unfortunately that was as close as they'd get as back-to-back goals by Sioux City less than a minute apart by Jackson Keane and Teemu Pulkkinen put the game out of reach.

Next up for the Buccaneers is another road game in Omaha on Sunday, October 25th, with a 5:05 puck drop. You can tune in online at www.kbgg.com.
