Bruce Richardson Signed to AHL Contract

HERSHEY, Pa.— The HERSHEY BEARS Hockey Club announced this evening that they have signed center Bruce Richardson to a standard American Hockey League players contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Richardson began his pro career with the HERSHEY BEARS during the 1997-1998 season. In the 1998-1999 season, Richardson played 44 games in Hershey, tallying a feisty 132 penalty minutes.

"Bruce is not only a quality hockey player, but a quality person. He is an exciting athlete that brings our club a lot of energy and aggressive play. We are very happy to have him in the HERSHEY BEARS organization again," said Doug Yingst, President and General Manager of the HERSHEY BEARS Hockey Club.

The BEARS will take a three-day hiatus for the 2003 All-Star Classic in Portland, Maine. On Friday, February 7, the BEARS are back in action in Rochester, N.Y. at 7:35 p.m. They return to GIANT Center on Saturday, February 8 to face the Philadelphia Phantoms at 7 p.m.
