Bulldogs Return to Action Wednesday

The Hamilton Bulldogs will return to action from the AHL All-Star break on Wednesday, February 5th when they host the Albany River Rats at Copps Coliseum for a 7:00 p.m. contest. Hamilton entered the All-Star break with 82 points and a record of 37 wins, 8 losses, 4 ties and 4 overtime losses, which is tops in the AHL. The Bulldogs will wrap up the week with a visit to the First Union Spectrum in Philadelphia on Friday, February 7th at 7:05 p.m. as they take on the Phantoms. BULLDOGS SHINING AT 2003 DODGE AHL ALL-STAR CLASSIC:

The Hamilton Bulldogs are well represented at the 2003 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic in Portland, Maine. Bulldogs' forward Jason Ward is playing for the Canadian AHL All-Stars, while defenceman Mike Komisarek and Head Coach Geoff Ward are representing the PlanetUSA All-Stars. Last night, the Canadian AHL All-Stars defeated the PlanetUSA All-Stars 15-13 in the 2003 Pepsi AHL All-Stars Skills Competition. The AHL All-Star Game goes tonight at 7:00 p.m. Bulldogs' fans can watch all the action on Rogers Sportsnet.

BULLDOGS AHL'S TOP OFFENSIVE CLUB:

Currently the Hamilton Bulldogs are the AHL's top offensive club. The Bulldogs lead the league in total goals (198), total assists (328) and total points (526). The most goals the Bulldogs have scored in a season was back in the 1998-99 season, when the club registered 264.

HAMILTON ON PACE FOR MOST REGULAR SEASON IN FRANCHISE HISTORY:

The Bulldogs currently have 37 wins on the season. Hamilton is on pace to break the original record of 40 wins, which was set in the 1998-99 season.

RYDER LED BULLDOGS OFFENSIVELY IN JANUARY:

Michael Ryder was the Bulldogs top point producer during the month of January. In 13 January games, the 22-year-old forward scored 10g-8a-18pts.

YOU MAKE THE CALL!

The Hamilton Bulldogs have announced as promised the opportunity for fans to weigh in on the name of Hamilton's professional AHL team. 'You Make The Call' also will allow fans the opportunity to choose the colour scheme their team will wear. Fans are encouraged to visit any Hamilton Tim Hortons franchise to fill in a ballot choosing one of the three names: 'Bulldogs', 'Canadiens', or 'Habs'; as well as the colour scheme that the team will wear: 'Blue, White, Red and Bronze' (current) or 'Red, White & Blue' (Montreal Canadiens). Fans will also have an opportunity to win two tickets to a select Bulldogs' game in weekly draws by just entering their ballot at Tim Hortons locations throughout the greater Hamilton area.

BULLDOGS ON 820 CHAM!

Hamilton Bulldogs fans can listen to all the Bulldogs home and road action this season on Hamilton's 820 CHAM-AM. Derek Wills provides all the play-by-play, while Hamilton radio personality Al Craig is the colour commentator for all home games and select road games.
