Hershey Bears News Release

Winners of three straight, the BEARS look to move even closer to first place tonight with a game in Manchester against Bruce Boudreau's former team. HERSHEY opens up tonight with an 8-3-0-3 record.

Friday, the BEARS defeated Albany 6-4 at Pepsi Arena to begin the current three-game road swing. Boyd Gordon and Jared Aulin paced the offensive attack with two goals apiece. Dave Steckel added his first goal of the year as Kirk Daubenspeck won his third game in four decisions this season. Daubenspeck is expected to start again tonight against the Monarchs at Verizon Wireless Arena.

Manchester won a shootout at home Friday night 5-4 against the Lowell Lock Monsters. The Monarchs bring a 7-3-0-1 record to the table tonight. The BEARS begin the night four points behind Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the East Division standings. BEARS bench boss Bruce Boudreau won 51 games with Manchester last season, and was the only coach the Monarchs had in four seasons until this year.

Tonight's game can be heard on 100.1 FM WQIC, 1490-AM WLPA, Pennlive.com and B2 Networks through HersheyBears.com. John Walton has the call from Manchester beginning at 7:15 p.m.
