November 12, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release

Chris McAllister scored his first two goals of the season to help San Antonio earn their first standings point in their last six games as the Houston Aeros took a 4-3 shootout win to hand the Rampage their sixth consecutive loss Saturday night at the Toyota Center .

Both teams will face each other again in a Sunday matinee game at the SBC Center at 5 p.m.

McAllister tied the game at one at 4:58 in the opening period as defensive linemate Joe Callahan collected his first point assisting on the play.

The Rampage would take a 2-1 lead-their first lead since Oct. 26 against Chicago - when Martin Sonnenberg scored at 7:15 in the first period. Tim Jackman and Jamie Lundmark would tally the assists for Sonnenberg's second goal of the season.

Jackman's interference call would give former Rampage Petr Taticek his fourth goal of the season with a 14:34 power-play goal to bring Houston back at 2-2 heading into the second period.

McAllister would capitalize on a Houston turnover at 7:39 in the second to give the Rampage their second lead of the game with an unassisted goal.

Peter Olvecky's goal at 4:05 in the third period would send the Rampage into their second overtime of the season.

The Rampage would try to convert a power-play opportunity to get their second extra-session win since their Oct. 21 game against Manchester and goaltender Scott Sterling (38 saves on 41 shots for the night) helped bring San Antonio to their second shootout of the season.

Houston (12-4-1-1) would extend their win streak to four games scoring two shootout goals to the Rampage's one. Lance Monych scored the lone shootout goal for the Rampage (4-9-0-1).
