Game Notes: The Rochester Americans (8-4-0-0, 16 points) host the Chicago Wolves (3-5-1-2, nine points) tonight at 7:35 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial. The game will be carried live on WB16. The contest will also be broadcast live on the B2 Networks and joined in progress on WHTK 1280-AM. The first 3,000 fans will receive an Amerks pennant, sponsored by Supercuts.

Head-to-Head: The game against the Chicago Wolves is the first meeting between the two teams since the 2002-03 season. Rochester leads the all-time series with a record of 2-1-1.

Amerks Notes: Rochester enters the game in third place in the North Division, three points out of first place. Rochester has the best power-play unit the league, converting 32 percent of its chances (27 of 85). The Buffalo Sabres have recalled defenseman Doug Janik. The Amerks' alternate captain has three assists in 12 games this season. Rochester forward Greg Jacina has also been recalled by the Florida Panthers. The center has two goals and one assist in eight games with the Amerks. In a related move, the Panthers have called up center Drew Larman from the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. Larman, who attended Amerks training camp, has four penalty minutes in six games with the Everblades. Last night, Rochester used four power-play goals and a short-handed tally to defeat the Manitoba Moose 6-5 in overtime. Chris Thorburn scored the game-winner at 1:51 of OT.

All-Time Team Voting: Fan balloting for the Rochester Americans 50th Anniversary Team starting lineup has begun. Fans can choose three forwards, two defensemen and one goalie for the All-Time Team, with the results being announced in February. Voting will be conducted online at amerks.com and in the arena at the Amerks customer service table at The Blue Cross Arena during home games. Voting concludes on Wednesday, February 1st.

Chicago Notes: The Wolves lost their fourth straight game last night, suffering a 5-1 loss to the Syracuse Crunch. Defenseman Braydon Coburn scored the lone Chicago goal. Coburn now has four points (2+2) in four games since his assignment by the Atlanta Thrashers on October 26th. Last season the Wolves advanced to the Calder Cup Finals, but were ousted in four games by the Philadelphia Phantoms. Chicago finished second in the AHL in points during the regular season. The Wolves' 105 points trailed only the Rochester Americans' 112.

Next Game: On Sunday, Rochester hits the road to face the Cleveland Barons at 5:05 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena. The contest is the fourth of eight meetings between the two teams. The Barons won the last meeting, 4-2, on November 4th at The Blue Cross Arena. The game will be broadcast on WHTK 1280-AM and webcast on the B2 Networks.

Next Home Game: On November 18th, the Syracuse Crunch make their first of six visits to The Blue Cross Arena. The contest will be televised tape delayed on Time Warner Cable Channel 98 on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WHTK 1280-AM and webcast on the B2 Networks. The contest is also available to on-line viewers on the B2 Networks for a $6.00 fee. The first 5,000 fans will receive a trading card of Amerk Hall of Fame center Bronco Horvath.
