Adam Munro made 27 saves as the Admirals defeated Providence 4-1 on Saturday night.

Providence scored the game's first goal just 3:39 into the first period. Jason MacDonald emerged with the puck from behind the net and fed a pass to Ben Guite who beat Admirals goalie Adam Munro on Providence's first shot of the game. However, Norfolk struck back just under ten minutes later. After receiving a pass at center ice from Jason Morgan, Carl Corazzini skated in alone on Bruins backstop Jordan Sigalet. Corazzini deked backhand before roofing a forehand shot over Sigalet's left shoulder. The teams skated to the locker room tied 1-1 at the first break.

Norfolk took the lead midway through the second stanza. Shawn Thornton fed a pass to James Wisniewski who teed up a one-timer that beat Sigalet. The power play goal at 12:23 gave the Admirals a 2-1 lead that they carried to the second intermission.

The Admirals sealed the win in the third period. Martin St. Pierre scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season at the 11:26 mark for a 3-1 lead, and Quintin Laing iced the game with a shorthanded empty-netter with nine seconds remaining.

Jordan Sigalet picked up the loss for Providence stopping 34 of 37 shots. Adam Munro earned the victory while turning aside 27 of 28 Providence shots.

Norfolk was 1-8 on the power play while Providence was 0-6.
