Iowa Recalls Blueliner From ECHL Affiliate

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars Director of Hockey Operations Scott White announced today that the American Hockey League team has recalled defenseman Brian Fahey from the Stars ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads.

A 2000 NHL Entry Draft selection of Colorado (4th round, 119th overall), Fahey skated in one of Stars game this season, recording a goal in the Stars 7-2 win in the Sunday, October 16th match against San Antonio. He was loaned to Idaho on October 18th. Prior to his recall, the Glenview, IL native appeared in three games for the Steelheads, recording one goal, one assist and four penalty minutes: 3(1/1/2)4.

Last season, he split time between the now defunct Worcester IceCats (AHL) and the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL. The 24 year-old recorded four assists and 12 penalty minutes in 20 games with Worcester 20(0/4/4)12 and 10 goals, 16 assists and 47 PIM's in 46 contests with Atlantic City: 46(10/16/26)47.
