Botterill Reassigned to Rochester by Buffalo

(Rochester, NY)... The Buffalo Sabres announced today that left wing Jason Botterill has been reassigned to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Botterill returns to Rochester after his second stint in Buffalo with the Sabres. The Edmonton, Alberta, native currently leads the AHL with 36 goals and is second on the Amerks with 56 points in 61 games (36+20).

With the Sabres this season, the forward has played in six games and has registered one goal and one assist. Botterill signed with Buffalo in the offseason and was originally a first-round selection (20th overall) of the Dallas Stars in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft.
