Canucks reassign Kavanagh to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks announced that they have reassigned right winger Pat Kavanagh to the Manitoba Moose.

Kavanagh, 23, made his NHL regular season game debut on Tuesday against the Philadelphia Flyers. He recorded two shots, two penalty minutes and had 11:31 of ice time in the 3-0 loss.

Kavanagh has played in 51 games this season for the Moose and registered 12 goals and ten assists for 22 points with a +6 rating and 86 penalty minutes. He holds the team lead with three shorthanded markers. The four-year pro tallied his second career hat trick and an assist (a career-high four point game) on Feb. 19 against Houston. Kavanagh set a season-high and tied his career-high with a four-game point streak (Feb.7-13/03).

Kavanagh was originally assigned to Manitoba prior to the start of the 2002-03 season on September 12/02.
