
'Booker T' lays smackdown on Grrrowl

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers, have announced that WWE United States Champion "Booker T" will appear at the BI-LO Center on Friday night as the Grrrowl host the Columbia Inferno at 7:05pm. The popular WWE SmackDown returns to the BI-LO center on Tuesday, December 7, 2004.
"Booker T", aka Booker Huffman, entered the professional wrestling ranks in 1989 and four years later by signing with WCW. Over the next seven years, he won the WCW Tag Team Championship title with his brother, "Stevie Ray", a record ten times. "Booker T" (6-3, 250lbs.) is a seven-time WCW TV Champion, as well as the WCW US Champion.
"Booker T" will drop the ceremonial puck prior to the start of the game on Friday, and will sign autographs at the Fan Accommodations Table (section 114) during the first intermission of Friday's game.
The Grrrowl will be in action at home for two games this week, beginning on Tuesday night at 7:05pm against the Texas Wildcatters, followed by Friday's game (Upstate Church Night) with the Columbia Inferno.
