Deschenes, Abel down from Philly; Allen to Providence

TRENTON, NJ (November 16, 2004) -The Trenton Titans today announced that B.J Abel and Nick Deschenes have been assigned from the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League while goaltender Andrew Allen has been loaned to the Providence Bruins (AHL).

Abel leads the Titans in scoring with 8 points (2G, 6A), all of which were tallied during his recent five-game scoring streak. The Rochester, MN native was held scoreless as he appeared with the Phantoms on Sunday's versus the Norfolk Admirals.

Deschenes is tied for sixth in team scoring with 2 goals and 2 assists in six games played. Deschenes, Cygan and Lewandowski combined for five points versus Atlantic City on Saturday.

Allen receives his first call-up of the 2004-05 season. The fourth-year pro started the season with a career best 4-0-0 record. He now stands at 4-1-1 with a 1.90 goals against average and a .933 save percentage.

In a separate transaction, Phil Lewandowski was placed on the 7-day injured reserve list, retroactive to November 14. Lewandowski suffered a groin injury at Atlantic City on Saturday. He has scored four goals in his last three games and leads the Titans with five.
