Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release

Atlantic City, NJ – Luke Curtin tallied a goal and an assist and Jake Moreland made 30 saves to lead the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies to a 3-1 victory over the Dayton Bombers before 1423 at Historic Boardwalk Hall in ECHL action Tuesday. The win is Atlantic City's fifth in a row.

Brett Nowak opened the scoring at 17:37 of the first period when he took a feed from Luke Curtin at the left-wing circle and slapped the puck through Bombers goalie Michael Ayers' pads to give Atlantic City a 1-0 lead.

Dayton would tally the equalizer at 14:38 of the second as Matt Herneisen picked up Alex Johnstone's rebound in the slot and ripped a backhander past Bullies goaltender Jake Moreland to tie the score 1-1.

Curtin gave the Bullies the lead for good with a power play tally at 5:29 of the third period. From the rim of the right-wing circle, Curtin's slap shot along the ice deflected off of Ayers, popped into the air over the goaltender, and rolled into the net to give Atlantic City a 2-1 advantage. Derek Edwardson would give the Bullies some insurance at 7:06 of the third period, beating Ayers over the right shoulder from the slot to tally the final goal in the 3-1 win.

Atlantic City out-shot Dayton 41-31. Moreland made 30 saves to earn his 6th win of the season. The Bullies went 1-3 on the power play.

Atlantic City returns to Historic Boardwalk Hall at 7:05PM on Friday, November 19 when they host the Wheeling Nailers. The Bullies will wrap up their second annual "Bring On the Warmth" Coat Drive held in conjunction with the Salvation Army of Atlantic County.
