Pride to wear camouflage jerseys
November 16, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Myrtle Beach Thunderboltz News Release
FLORENCE, SC â The Pee Dee Pride announced today that the team will wear special camouflage jerseys at their home game on Saturday, November 27 against the Charlotte Checkers. The special jerseys are sponsored by Buffy's Sportsman's Paradise.
Each Pride player will wear a camouflage jersey for the game. These one-time only jerseys will be auctioned off live following the game. The jerseys will be auctioned off from the stage at the VIP Area, with a minimum bid of $100 per jersey. Winning bidders will have until Friday, December 3 to pay for and pick up their jerseys. Acceptable methods of payment are cash, check, Visa or MasterCard.
In addition to the camo jerseys, the Pride are encouraging fans to come to the game dressed in their best camouflage outfit. The fan that dresses in the best outfit will be awarded with a $50 gift certificate to Buffy's Sportsman's Paradise.
"This is the first time that the Pride have worn a specialty jersey in the team's history, so we are anticipating a great response from our fans," Pride Chief Operating Officer Debbie Hyler said. "This jersey is a one-time only event, so we are hoping that a lot of people will come out to not only enjoy the game, but stay to bid on the jerseys as well."
The Pride head back out on the road for their next three games, traveling to Estero, FL for a pair of games against the Florida Everblades on Friday and Saturday. Both games start at 7:30. Coverage on WDAR Sunny 105.5 and www.peedeepride.com starts with the Palmetto Chiropractic Pre-Game Show at 7:10
Pee Dee returns home on Friday, November 26, hosting the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m. It's Toys for Tots Night at the Lion's Den, as the Pride, along with the Marine Corps League, encourage all fans to bring a new toy to the game to donate to the Toys for Tots campaign
Tickets for all Pride home games are available at the Florence Civic Center Box Office, or through TicketMaster at (843) 679-9333 or www.ticketmaster.com.
