Bombers Bullied On The Boardwalk Sunday Aftternoon

Atlantic City, NJ – The Dayton Bombers lost a 4-2 decision to the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in front of 4,542 at Historic Boardwalk Hall Sunday afternoon. It was Dayton's final trip to the Jersey Shore as the Atlantic City franchise prepares to move to Stockton, California next season.

The Bullies opened a 1-0 lead when Jason Notermann scored his league-leading 13th powerplay goal of the season during a 5-on-3 advantage at 11:17 of the first period.

Atlantic City added 3 goals in the second period. Tom Reimann notched a powerplay goal at 5:13, while Derek Edwardson (11:06) and Brian Fahey (16:27) recorded even strength goals as the Bullies took a 4-0 lead into the second intermission.

The Bombers made the game interesting with third period goals from JEFF SZWEZ (11:10) and AARON FOSTER (13:29), but the Bullies held on for the 4-2 victory.

The Bombers 6-game road trip continues with game five on Friday night when they travel to The Sovereign Center to face the North Division rival Reading Royals. Audio coverage begins at 7:00 PM at daytonbombers.com.
