BlueClaws Use Three-Run 6th for 6-4 Win

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Lakewood used a three-run 6th inning to turn a 4-3 deficit into a 6-4 lead in what was an eventual victory in front of 5,061 fans at FirstEnergy Park.
The BlueClaws trailed 4-3 with two outs and runners at 1st and 2nd with Maikel Franco batting. Franco doubled down the left field line to score a pair of runs and catapult Lakewood ahead 5-4. Franco would later score on Gauntlett Eldemire's single to make it 6-4.
Chris Duffy went 2-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to 11 games. Over his streak he is hitting 19-for-40 (.475) to raise his season batting average to .387.
Mike Nesseth tossed three perfect innings for his third save of the season.
The BlueClaws and Power will play the second game of a four-game series to begin a nine-game homestand. Lakewood will send Ervis Manzanillo (1-5, 5.37) to the mound and he will start against West Virginia's lefty Zack Dodson (2-5, 5.97).
