HICKORY, NC - The Crawdads opened the second half of the season winning three of four games against the Greensboro Grasshoppers this past weekend. During the series, the 'Dads outscored the Grasshoppers, 31-16, and look to continue their hot start to the second half on the road on Monday against the Kannapolis Intimidators at 7:05 p.m., kicking off a nine-game road trip. Hickory will return home for the 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by Carolina Postal Credit Union and KICKS 103.3 FM, on Wed., July 4 at 7 p.m.!
The Crawdads are 3-1 to start the second half and 39-34 on the season. Hickory is in 2nd place in the Northern Division Second Half Standings, just a half game behind the Kannapolis Intimidators for 1st place.

INF Hanser Alberto and RHP Luke Jackson get the call to High-A Myrtle Beach!
All-Star INF Hanser Alberto and RHP Luke Jackson are the two most recent Crawdads to be promoted to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (High-A), getting the call last Friday.
Alberto had been one of the Crawdads best hitters this season, batting a team-best .337 along with 38 RBIs, 37 runs, 17 doubles, 15 stolen bases, and four home runs in 62 games. At the time of his call-up, Alberto had the second-highest batting average in the league.
With the 'Dads this season, Jackson held a 5-5 record with a 4.92 ERA and led the team with 72 strike outs. He held the 5th-highest strikeouts per nine innings ratio (10.13) in the league at the time of his his call up.
Alberto and Jackson are the third and fourth Crawdads promoted to Myrtle Beach this season, joining RHP Randol Rojas and RHP Jose Monegro.

-Hickory has the 5th-highest team batting average in the league (.270)
-The Crawdads are 4th in the SAL with 142 doubles
-The 'Dads are 3rd in the league with 61 home runs
-INF Drew Robinson is batting .357 in 35 home games this season, the highest of any Crawdad
-Robinson has improved his on-base percentage to .426, the 3rd-highest in the league
-C Jorge Alfaro has a team-high .367 batting average in his last eight games
-Alfaro drove in five RBIs against Greensboro on Saturday, only the second Crawdad to drive in five runs in one game this season
-Alfaro and INF Alejandro Selen combined for 9 RBIs in Saturday's game against the Grasshoppers
-RHP Jerad Eickhoff has compiled a 4-1 record with a 2.12 ERA on the road, and leads the team with eight overall wins, which is also tied for 2nd in the league
-RHP Phil Klein has allowed only one hit in his last three appearances
-RHP Arlett Mavare leads all SAL relievers with a 12.46 strikeouts per nine innings ratio
