Oklahoma City Blue News Release

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - The Oklahoma City Blue fell in overtime to the Santa Cruz Warriors, 93-87, on Saturday at the Cox Convention Center.

Josh Huestis, on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder, led the Blue in scoring with 18 points alongside six rebounds. Fellow Thunder assignment Mitch McGary posted 11 points and eight boards. Talib Zanna totaled 13 points and 16 rebounds off the bench and JP Tokoto recorded 14 points, three rebounds and four steals.

Trailing 81-76 with seven minutes to play in the fourth, Oklahoma City's defense limited the Warriors to five points on 10 shots over the following six minutes before a corner-three from Huestis tied the game at 87 with 40 seconds to play. The Blue defense stopped the Warriors again on the next possession, forcing a miss late in the shot clock and a defensive rebound by Dakari Johnson.

A floater by Marquis Teague fell off the iron at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. The Warriors went on a 6-0 run in the three-minute extra period to steal the road win.

"I was pleased by our effort and resilience in the game," said Blue Head Coach Mark Daigneault. "I thought Santa Cruz made a couple more plays than us in order to win the game, but we were right there. Our team continues to get better. We need to focus on the things we can control and the outcomes will take care of themselves."

Oklahoma City (1-10) outrebounded the Warriors 50-45.

Santa Cruz (7-4) was led by Elliot Williams with 32 points, six rebounds and four assists.

The Blue is back in action at the Cox Convention Center on Tuesday when it hosts the Reno Bighorns at 7 p.m. For ticket information, visit OklahomaCityBlue.com.
