Bakersfield Falls in Idaho 100-88

BOISE - Earl Clark scored a game-high 29 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but the Bakersfield Jam (6-6) fell to the Idaho Stampede (4-10) 100-88 Saturday night at the CenturyLink Arena.

The Jam got off to a slow start to the game, as they trailed by 13 after one quarter of play (32-19) and by as many as 22 in the second period. The third quarter saw the Jam erupt for 32 points on 59.1 percent shooting from the field, and went into the fourth trailing by single digits (77-71).

Despite putting up a strong third to get back in the game, the Jam were unable to keep momentum on their side as they shot just 26.7 percent in final frame and were outscored 23-17.

Xavier Munford tallied 22 points while Terrico White posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

The Stampede were led by Jeff Ayers (26 points, 7 rebounds) and Tyus Jones (22 points). Brandon Fields added 17 points and five rebounds.

Bakersfield will travel back home and host the same Idaho Stampede on Tuesday, December 15 at 7:00 p.m. PT.
