Mavericks Reassign Justin Anderson and Salah Mejri to the Texas Legends

DALLAS - The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have reassigned guard Justin Anderson and center Salah Mejri to the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League.

Anderson and Mejri both started for the Legends in their 115-106 loss to the Santa Cruz Warriors on Friday at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco. Anderson tallied a team-high 34 points (13-24 FGs, 2-7 3FGs, 6-7 FTs) to go along with four rebounds and two steals in 40 minutes. Mejri managed two points and four boards in 16 minutes.

Both players have each appeared in two games for the Legends this year. Anderson is averaging 30.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 39.5 minutes in two D-League games (two starts). Mejri is averaging 4.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 18.5 minutes in two D-League contests (both starts).

Anderson (6-6, 228) is averaging 2.3 points, 1.1 rebounds and 6.4 minutes in 16 games (one start) for Dallas this season. The rookie guard scored a career-high 11 points (4-4 FGs, 1-1 3FGs, 2-2 FTs) in 15 minutes at New Orleans on Nov. 10.

Mejri (7-2, 235) has seen action in five games for the Mavericks this year and is averaging 1.0 rebound in 3.9 minutes per game.

Anderson and Mejri will both rejoin the Legends and be available for tonight's game against the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 7 p.m. CT in Frisco.
