
Blair Jones Reassigned to Admirals by Lightning

TAMPA BAY, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have reassigned forward Blair Jones to the Admirals, Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Jones, 6-foot-2, 216 pounds, appeared in five games with the Lightning after his most recent call-up on November 20. In total, Jones has played nine games with the Lightning this season with a goal, two points and an even plus/minus rating. He has also recorded seven goals and 16 points with a plus-7 rating in 12 games with Norfolk this season. He is tied for third in goals and is fourth in points with the Admirals.
A native of Central Butte, Saskatchewan, Jones has played in 47 career NHL games, all with the Lightning. He has registered two goals and five points with 14 penalty minutes during his career. Last season, Jones played in 14 games with the Lightning, recording 10 penalty minutes and averaging a career-best 12:50 in average ice time.
In 275 career AHL games between Norfolk and the Springfield Falcons, Jones has recorded 55 goals and 163 points.
Jones was drafted by Tampa Bay in the fourth round, 102nd overall, of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
