
'Blades get Melanson back from AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush, along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Mathieu Melanson has been re-assigned to the club by the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.
Melanson returns to the Everblades after seeing action in eight games with the Moose, where he notched one goal and collected four penalty minutes. With the Everblades this season Melanson has 34 points (19g, 15a) in 25 games. The 22-year-old ranks second on the Everblades in scoring and his goal total ranks sixth in the ECHL.
Melanson, who will represent the Everblades in the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game along with goaltender Justin Peters, is in his first full professional season after making his professional debut in 2006-07 with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL where he played in 17 games, registering 26 points (14g, 12a).
