
Black Bears to Host Military Appreciation Night

On Monday, August 3, the West Virginia Black Bears will be hosting Military Appreciation Night at Monongalia County Ballpark sponsored by IT Mindshare. There will be all branches of the military present to provide activities for fans of all ages. There will also be a special presentation from Brigadier General Dave Buckalew Director; Joint Staff West Virginia National Guard as he honors special heroes on the field.
The Black Bears will be wearing special edition camouflage jerseys to be auctioned off during the game with all proceeds benefitting Operation Welcome Home. "We are extremely excited to honor the military with this special night and to support the mission of Operation Welcome Home", said Black Bears Assistant General Manager John Pogorzelski.
Tickets are available at www.westvirginiablackbears.com or by calling 304-293-8422. The ticket office is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and through the end of home games. Military families will receive a special discount of $8 a ticket when they present a military id. Identification must be presented in person at the ticket office to receive the discount.
