
Beer Thursday, 4 for $44 Friday, Back to School Bash on Spikes' Slate

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) - - The State College Spikes return home Thursday, August 27 to begin a three-game homestand at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, with an array of fun activities in store for fans of all ages. Highlights include $1 Beer Thursday, the return of the 4 for $44 Friday Northwest Family Value Ticket Package, and Saturday's Back to School Bash at the ballpark.
The Auburn Doubledays (Washington Nationals) will provide the opposition all three nights, with each game a crucial one for the Spikes' playoff chances. The Spikes are on The Hunt Reloaded, presented by Lion Country Kia, HRI, Inc., and the Central Pennsylvania Convention and Visitors Bureau, and are in a logjam atop the New York-Penn League Wild Card race with less than two weeks left in the season.
The fun begins with $1 Beer Thursday, presented by 93.7 THE BUS. Fans of age can enjoy 12 oz. domestic draft beers for just $1 apiece from 6-8 p.m. as the Spikes take on Auburn at 7:05 p.m.
Friday, the Spikes face the Doubledays at 7:05 p.m., and fans can go easy on the wallet with the 4 for $44 Friday Northwest Family Value Ticket Package. Four of the best seats in the house, four hot dogs and four small sodas are available for just $44 (an $85 value!), and additional packages are just $11 apiece. Plus, kids can run the bases after the game thanks to Clinical Outcomes Group, Inc.
The series concludes on Saturday with the Back to School Bash during the Spikes' 7:05 p.m. game against Auburn. Make the summer last a little longer with the Spikes before heading back to school, and take the Spikes with you all year long with a School Kit Giveaway.
It's also a Scratch n' Win Saturday, presented by P.J. Harrigan's, where every fan will be a winner as each fan receives a scratch-off card with a great prize or discount on it. Plus, one lucky fan will be selected to play Lion Country Kia Plinko on the field for the chance at a brand new Kia and other fantastic prizes.
Saturday is also Mifflin and Juniata County Night at the ballpark, presented by The Sentinel as part of the Community Nights series presented by CATACOMMUTE. The night includes a FREE Kids Zone! presented by Friends of Jake Corman, and kids can run the bases after the game thanks to Clinical Outcomes Group, Inc.
In addition, college students across Central PA can enjoy even more value with the College 3-2-1 Special. The College 3-2-1 Special offers any college student presenting a valid student ID at ticket and concessions windows the following special offers:

Single-game tickets for all three games from August 27-29, as well as all eight regular season home dates remaining through September 6, are currently on sale through the Spikes Box Office and online at State College Spikes.com. Plus, fans can purchase Four-Game Playoff Packs in anticipation of potential Spikes home games during the New York-Penn League playoffs, which begin on Wednesday, September 9. Playoff Packs start as low as $16 per seat and include as much as a $4 per game savings off the single-game price. In addition, each seat purchased as part of a Playoff Pack will come with a free, limited-edition 2015 Spikes playoff T-shirt while supplies last.
