
Bedard Named World Juniors MVP

Halifax, N.S. - Pats captain Connor Bedard has been named tournament MVP of the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship, as well as a tournament all-star, as voted by the media.
He was also named the best forward, as voted by the International Ice Hockey Federation directorate.
The North Vancouver product won the scoring title with 23 points and set multiple Canadian World Junior records, including points (23) and assists (14) in a single tournament by a Canadian, career goals by a Canadian (17) and career points by a Canadian (36).
Bedard, who captured his second straight U20 gold medal, put on the most dominant offensive performance by anyone apart from Sweden's Peter Forsberg in 1993 (31 points).
