Jersey Shore BlueClaws News Release
LAKEWOOD, NJ - 1964...The Tribute, a classic Beatles tribute band, is coming to FirstEnergy Park presented by Good Time Oldies, 1160 and 1310 AM for a Friday night concert on July 15th.
Since the early 80's, 1964...The Tribute has been thrilling audiences all over the globe with what Rolling Stone Magazine has called the "Best Beatles Tribute on Earth." 1964 takes their audiences on a journey through a quintessential period in music history that will live forever.
"This is a great opportunity to bring some great music to FirstEnergy Park," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "We've been a hub for concerts and live music over the years and this is a unique act that we're excited to have play the Jersey Shore."
Tickets are just $20 and general admission within the stadium's seating bowl. Gates will open at 7 pm and there will be a video montage of early Beatles performances before the show, which begins at 8.
All tickets are now on sale by calling 732-901-7000 or at the BlueClaws box office.
Unlike other acts, "1964" concentrates on only the "touring years" of the Beatles. Since this time period is one of the most well documented (pictures, films, and eye witness accounts) times of the Beatles career, there is much that one can compare. "1964" has accomplished what many other acts could only dream of: an astonishingly accurate re-creation of the energy and the magic of those touring years. Over 20 years of researching and performing have made "1964" masters of their craft. They are hailed by critics and fans alike as the most authentic and endearing Beatles tribute show in the world.
"1964" recreates an early '60's live Beatles concert, with period instruments, clothing, hairstyles, onstage banter, with an accuracy that is unmatched even til this day. Come see why 1964...The Tribute is the definitive and most accurate of all the Beatle shows.
The Lakewood BlueClaws, single-A affiliate of the Phillies, have led the South Atlantic League in attendance in each year of existence.
Tickets for all 2011 BlueClaws home games are on sale now by calling 732-901-7000 or online at BlueClaws.com.
