Baysox Ain't Afraid of No Ghosts
April 26, 2011 - Eastern League (EL1)
Chesapeake Baysox News Release
BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox challenge the paranormal during Ghostbusters Night at Prince George's Stadium Friday, May 13, as the team takes on the Akron Aeros at 7:05 p.m. The event features costumed ghostbusters around the stadium, movie clips on the video board, on-field promotions based on the Ghostbusters movies and postgame fireworks.
Baysox Promotions Manager Chris Rogers planned the event. "We have seen a number of unexpected events at the stadium," Rogers said. "Fielders missing balls that should be fielded for easy outs, balls flying out of the stadium that should stay in, we thought it was best to bring in the professional ghostbusters. We also have a number of fans of the Ghostbuster movies in our office, and who does not want to play with proton packs=3F"
Throughout the game, members of the Baltimore Ghostbusters will investigate paranormal phenomenons and pose for pictures with fans. Fans can also participate in "Peter Venkman's Table-Clearing Challenge" and other feats of skill based on the movies.
The Baysox 19th season as the class Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles is underway. Parking is free at every Baysox home game and tickets are now available at www.baysox.com or by calling the Baysox box office at (301) 464-4865.
