Bayrack & Morlang Sign with Sound Tigers

BRIDGEPORT, CT – The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the signing of Center Mike Bayrack and Right Wing John Morlang to professional tryout contracts. Both players come to the Sound Tigers from the United Hockey League's Danbury Trashers.

Bayrack has a team-leading 16 goals, as well as 11 assists, 27 points and 22 penalty minutes in 29 games with Danbury while Morlang has nine goals, 11 assists, 20 points and 38 penalty minutes in 27 games with the Trashers. This is the second stint with the Sound Tigers for Morlang who appeared in three games with the team earlier in the season.

The Sound Tigers will open a four-game home-stand when they host the Worcester IceCats tonight at 7:05 p.m. in a game that will be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM and at www.soundtigers.com.
