Ellis and Larrivee to rejoin Bulldogs

The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that goaltender Dan Ellis will return to the Hamilton Bulldogs after playing for Canada's National Men's Team at the Loto Cup, and forward Christian Larrivee has been recalled from the Long Beach Ice Dogs of the ECHL.

Ellis, a 24-year-old native of Orangeville, Ontario, appeared in one game for Team Canada at the Loto Cup in Piestany, Slovakia and was victorious, by stopping 28 shots in a 3-2 win over Austria on Thursday, December 16th. Canada would go on to earn a bronze medal in the tournament.

Ellis has appeared in 13 games for the Bulldogs this season, and has earned a record of 3-9-0, a 2.70 goals against average and a .911 save percentage. The 6-0, 185 pound goaltender won three straight games with the Bulldogs before joining Team Canada.

Larrivee, a 6-3, 200 pound forward, has played in 17 games for the Long Beach Ice Dogs this season, and earned five points on two goals and three assists. In 2003-04, the 22-year-old Gaspe, Quebec native, saw action in two regular season games with the Bulldogs and posted two points (1-1-2). As well, Larrivee played six playoff games for Hamilton and went scoreless. Larrivee spent the majority of last season with the ECHL's Columbus Cottonmouths and tallied 33 points (11-22-33) in 72 games played.

The Montreal Canadiens originally selected Larrivee in the fourth round, 114th overall at the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
