Shkotov reassigned

WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President/General Manager and Worcester IceCats General Manager of Hockey Operations Larry Pleau announced today that right wing Alexei Shkotov has been reassigned by St. Louis from Worcester to the Russian-based Voskresensk Khimik.

The 20 year-old right winger appeared in 23 games for the IceCats this season, recording six goals, six assists and 18 penalty minutes before being reassigned: 23(6/6/12)18. He notched his first professional point and subsequently his first pro goal in the same game against the Springfield Falcons on October 16th. A native of Elektrostal, Russia, he was the BluesÂ’ first choice, and 48th overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

The IceCats are in Bridgeport tonight for a 7:05 PM faceoff with the Sound Tigers. Worcester will enjoy a short holiday break, before returning to action on Sunday, December 26th against Springfield. Faceoff at the DCU center is slated for 4:05 PM. For ticket info, call 800-830-CATS.
