Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack is pleased to announce that with their first round selection (20th overall) in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection presented by State Farm, they have selected Zach Nastasiuk from the Barrie Colts Minor Midget team.

Nastasiuk, from Barrie, ON. notched 17 goals and 23 assists to go along with 38 penalty minutes in 41 games played. The 6'1, 175lb right winger is described by OHL Central Scouting as "a solid two way forward that also brings a lot of offensive productivity and potential to the table. He plays an honest, major junior style of game. He competes and works hard at a very consistent level and he won't cheat you on effort. He has very good size, which he uses to his advantage..."

Attack General Manager Dale DeGray describes Nastasiuk as a prototypical pro power forward with excellent mobility. "He plays a very hard nosed game.", stated Dale DeGray. "We feel that Zach will blossom into a premier power forward in the Ontario Hockey League and as an organization, we are extremely pleased with this selection."

20th overall is the lowest the Attack has ever picked in the OHL Priority Selection. In 2010, the Attack selected forward Jarrod Maidens with the 4th overall pick.

The Attack will now pick 19th in the 2nd Round.
