The Soo Greyhounds were without a pick in the 2nd Round of Saturday's OHL Priority Selection presented by StateFarm, but made two quick picks to start off Round 3.

With the 2nd pick (44th overall), the Hounds selected left-winger NICHOLAS HALAGIAN from the St. Catharine's Falcons.

In 52 games played in 2010/11, Halgian registered 26 goals and 17 assists, for 43 points.

The St. Catharines, ON native stands 6'0" while weighing 190 lbs.

"Halagian is a big bodied offensive minded forward who possess a good collection of physical tools. He has size, some real high end skill and he is an excellent skater. His game is all about using his speed and quickness. He has high end speed and the ability to use an extra gear when it is required. Halagian also has a very good stick, he carries the puck with speed, and isn't afraid to move the puck to the open man. His play with the puck shows an understanding of the game and he makes good choices and decisions when he has possession." (OHL Priority Selection Preview and Media Guide)

Then with the 3rd pick of the round (45th overall), the Hounds went right back to St. Catharine's by selecting goaltender JUSTIN NICHOLS. In 38 games Nichols recorded a 1.42 GAA to go along with 9 shutouts.

He stands 5'9", while weighing 140 lbs.

The Greyhounds next pick will be the 13th pick of the 4th Round (75th overall).
