Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that they have selected defenceman Alex Yuill in the first round, 22nd overall in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection, presented by State Farm.

The 5'8", 150 pound defenceman spent last season with the Quinte Red Devils Minor Midgets. In 36 games played the soon-to-be 16 year-old scored 2 goals and 15 assists for 17 points and 14 penalty minutes.

Barrie got the 2011 OHL Priority Selection started on Friday when they introduced Aaron Ekblad as the first overall pick.

The Colts will pick next in the second round with the 37th overall pick.
