Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack is pleased to announce that with their third round selections (60th and 61st overall) in the third round, they have selected goaltender Evan Morse from the Vaughan Kings Minor Midget AAA team and Joseph Blandini from the Vaughn Kings Major Midget AAA team.

Morse, a 6'2, 170lb goaltender appeared in 26 regular season games for the Kings last season, posting a 2.81GAA to go along with 4 shut outs. Morse becomes the second goaltender in three years to be drafted by the Attack from the Vaughan Kings. The Attack took Jordan Binnington with their second round draft choice in the 2009 draft.

With their second pick in the third round, the Attack took 1994 born Joseph Blandini from the Vaughan Kings Major Midget team. After going undrafted in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection, Blandini returned to the Kings to score 51 goals and 41 assists in only 41 games played. The 5'10 forward is described as a gifted offensive player with a gritty upside.

The Attack has now selected two forwards, a defenseman and a goaltender in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection.
